Question: What kind of cases have you handled which involve spinal cord injuries?
Jeffrey B. Miller: Spinal cord injuries like traumatic brain injuries can result from the trauma of a car accident or a fall off of a roof. We have seen, unfortunately, multiple cases at this point where individuals have been employed by construction companies without harnesses that keep them safe from falling off of rooftops. We had one gentleman who fell off of a rooftop while laying sheeting. It was his first day on the job, he received no training and he had no harness. We have seen spinal cord injuries result as well during surgeries where for one reason or another the spine may be deprived of sufficient oxygen a stroke may result and a spinal cord injury resulting in either paraplegic or quadriplegia may result from that.
