Arizona One of Only Three States that Saw Increase in Car Accident Fatalities in 2011

California, Hawaii, and Arizona are all beautiful, warm places to call home.  Unfortunately, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, they are also home to the deadliest streets in the country.  While nationally Americans saw a 1.7% decrease in traffic accident fatalities from 2010, those three states all recorded an increase of about 3.3%.  Transportation safety officials have said that further research and investigation must be conducted to conclude why these states were so different from all others.  Safer vehicles and roads were factors attributed to the U.S. recording its lowest total number of traffic accident fatalities last year, a 25% decline from 2005.  However, it is widely believed that the economy was the biggest reason for the decrease in fatalities as it caused motorists to drive less and safer.

In our business of helping persons who have been injured, we see the results of drivers who are distracted, who follow too close, who speed. Be careful out there.
